Assuming the 10 minutes for the rest and level up are uneventful (and her companions are successful in stabilising everyone) Hayeth wakes with a start and winces a little
"Wha- what happened?" She pauses "Did we win?"

Noell starts, nearly firing her crossbow again at the unconscious cultist from the surprise of it all. She smiles at Hayeth. "So to speak. We're all still alive, though I'm not sure I'd call this winning. This one is still alive, too. If you've got a spare rope, we should tie him up in case he wakes," she adds. "I can hear some chanting further in... we're not out of the woods yet."
Hayeth digs into her pack and pulls out her 50ft of hemp rope
"Will this do?"She shakes her head trying to shake of the groggyness of waking from unconsciousness
"No we're in a tunnel Noell, the woods are outside" she giggles a little smiling at Noell and pulls out her spellbook checking it over as Fay flies over and lands on Hayeths shoulder

Dumasz stands on unsteady legs. “Poison... *hack cough* I should’ve expected it. I thought I got the jump on them. Sometimes, the instinct to jump right into the fray is overwhelming.”
"There wasn't much that could be done about it, the poison would have been an issue regardless of our preparation" Hayeth pauses and smiles "Regardless, I am glad to be alive and glad you all are"

After securing the cultist, Noell gets to her feet and prepares her crossbow. "We could wait to question this one about what to expect, but I wonder if we even have the time," she says. "I do think we should try to go as quietly as possible again..."
(Noell will hang out at the back and stealth again when we get moving: 17)
Hayeth will trail at the back as well trying to be as quiet as possible "I don't think we have too much time, I don't like the sound of that chanting..."

Lia sits up, coughing, and realizes the rest of her companions are already up and ready to go. With an unnatural spring in her step, she stands to join them, pausing only to mutter a few unkind things about the cultist's mother in Elvish. "I say we kick snake-man ass first, ask questions later," she agrees, taking up a position at the front of the group and quietly moving forward once everyone is ready.

While the others rested, Vahorn tried with his limited social skills to calm Noell. He decided against bringing up his questions over her ancestry and abilities until they were out of this mess and went about finding any plant life growing in the cave. After muttering a few words over some roots, he returns as everyone is waking up, handing out two goodberry s each. “Take these, they’ll help if anybody goes down again.”
When they atart to discuss the prisoner.....
“ If he’s anything like he last one we encountered, questioning him will be pointless. The ravings of a zealot are of no use to us.” Vahorn spits in disgust. “Lia is right, we should cut of their head, these mere men will pose little threat without their leaders.” Pausing before he heads down the tunnel, he turns to the others. “The snakes... they run away when their masters are killed. Focus on the Yuan-ti first, the men second and try to keep out of the snake’s jaws. They’re innocent in all of this, a beast can be no more than it’s nature.”
Vahorn draws his longbow as he heads down alongside Lia. Her recent touch with death fresh in his mind, he makes sure to be a little ahead of her as he watches and listens for movement ahead. Stealth 26 perception12
"Well, that part will be easy," Noell mutters to herself, still spooked by her violent first encounter of the half-snake race. A part of her wonders if they could be talked to or reasoned with. The more rational part of her thinks of all the people who had gone missing, and what cultists could possibly be doing when chanting. Humanoid sacrifice comes to mind, and she wonders if they're already too late to rescue the townspeople. Derrik's loss weighs heavily on her conscience; the halfling was just poised to come into his own in the Hearth, and then this had to happen. And never mind Aleesa, still so young and with her future ahead of her.
Though she's at the far end of the group, she tries to keep alert for any surprises, not wanting to be ambushed on both sides by any surprises or stray snakes. Perception: 20
"Snake-men, non-snake-men, snakes," Lia repeats, counting them off on her fingers."Got it."Noticing Vahorn's concern, she lets him stay a few feet ahead, though not much. Normally she would try to fight for the lead just to be annoying, but he doesn't seem to show regular people emotions very often, so she decides to let him have his moment.
Hayeth is semi distracted looking through her spellbook the pages of which now almost seem to turn themselves with but a gesture from her
"I won't cast my protective magic this time, but I'll stay way at the back. I have a plan which could reduce our load once we are in the fight, I'll give some instruction if it works"
She smiles looking up from her book
"I will trust you tougher folk to keep me safe and not run in this time unless I absolutely need to"

The door opens quietly, revealing a large room. A circle of eight figures dominate your vision. The are chanting and hissing in an ancient tongue and surrounding an ancient, ornately carved stone about 10 feet across. Strapped down to the stone toward the door, nearly naked is an older grizzled human man, who looks quite insensate, as if drugged. A cultist has raised her slender brown arms above her head and looks poised to strike him with a wicked dagger. There are 5 other cultists, plus a slender yuan-ti man with flowing black hair and a forked tongue and fangs. he stands at the fan end of the stone, and next to him is a woman whose upper body betrays a few snakelike features, but lower body has the form of a snake.
