OK - Let's run this!
Phillip, a few moments after you see the lit copper piece make it to the bottom, a huge frog-like creature with tentacles bursts forth from the water near the north part of the pond.
It was pressing its frog-like body against the bottom of the pond like frogs do, and it was watching you with its eyestalk which was poking out of the water. None of you saw it, and so you are all surprised for round 1, because the huge creature seems quite upset that you've disturbed its home.
((please disregard the poor fellow that this creature seems to be holding. In our game, the creature is empty handed.))
All of you are surprised as the frog-like creature moves toward Azaka. It then lashes it's huge tongue towards Azaka who is wide eyed at this point. There is no attack roll for the tongue. Azaka is forced to make a STR save: 20 and she is unable to fend off the creatures tongue as it wraps around her and pulls her into the water, right beside the creature.
It then proceeds to try and devour her, whole. GULP: 27 Damage: 15
And Azaka is swallowed whole, before your eyes. She doesn't take the pierce damage from the bite as she's immune, but she is now inside that huge creature. She is restrained and blinded.
Alton, the crossbow bolt enters the huge creature's body and it wriggles a bit around the area it got shot. (-7)
Eku gasps when she sees Azaka get swallowed. "AZAKA! NO!" and she runs to the edge of the pool and jumps in. As she's in mid-air, her form flickers and she changes into a large marine creature which looks like a dinosaur of some type. She splashes into the water and ends up right beside the huge frog creature.
Azaka is inside the froghemoth, restrained and blinded but she's still able to somehow get her scimitar from her back and take two blind slashes at the inside walls of the creature's gut. Both of the slashes hit nothing but the liquid inside the cavity she is in. (attacks rolled in the dice rolling thread). She screams something and sounds like she's talking but all you hear is a muffled scream.
Evo, your mace appears and smacks the creature. (-11) and then the quick bursts of light seer the huge creature. (-12)
Gotur, the swirling green dust lands all over the froghemoth! Everyone now going forward to have advantage on attacks to the froghemoth if you can see it!
Orvex's eyes are wide after seeing Eku transform into the sea creature/dinosaur as well as Azaka getting straight up eaten. He yells "FROGHEMOTH! AN ACTUAL FROGHEMOTH! OH NO! HELP HER! HELP HER!"and he runs east towards Alton, trying to get as far away from the creature as he can.
Phillip sees Gutur’s magic take hold, and light the creature up, and he says, “Oh yes!! Now we’re talking!!… Yep yep yep!…”, and unleashes a volley of arrows at the creature…
Attack #1 (shortbow): Attack: 29 Damage: 13 (piercing damage) …plus 6grung poison damage and the poisoned condition ((CON save DC12)).
Attack #2 (shortbow): Attack: 22 Damage: 9 (piercing damage) …plus 6grung poison damage and the poisoned condition ((CON save DC12)).
((action surge!!!))
Attack #3 (shortbow): Attack: 27 Damage: 8 (piercing damage) …plus 8grung poison damage and the poisoned condition ((CON save DC12)).
Attack #4 (shortbow): Attack: 17 Damage: 10 (piercing damage) …plus 7grung poison damage and the poisoned condition ((CON save DC12)).
…and if any of those hit, take an extra 4 damage from being marked as a Favoured Foe.
Phillip, with the effects of Gotur's magic on the target, you're able to make all of the shots. You assault the froghemoth with your arrows as they all sink deep into it's skin. The huge thing shakes off all of the poison effects, however. (-44).
You notice that it might take a good number of arrows to take this sucker down...
You then back away the 15 feet.
The froghemoth is next. You hear Azaka screaming now inside the froghemoth's stomach. It sounds like she's burning alive..... (11).
The froghemoth takes aim now at this new large swimming thing in front of it. You all notice that it just would not be able to eat a creature as large as Eku's new form, but you now also notice some new attacks that it does. It uses its tentacles and lashes out at Eku-saurus.
Tentacle: 22 Damage: 24
Tentacle: 24 Damage: 19
Both of the tentacles hit Eku-saurus. One of them grapples her.
It also bites.
Attack: 23 Damage: 19
It's numerous teeth sink deep into the easy target.
((Oh! I knew she retains her game stats, but she takes the creatures AC so I assumed she didn't get the damage immunities. Would she still have her damage immunities in her morphed form? But just use it's AC? Thanks Spider! Damage is NOT magical.))
((would make her reasoning for leaping in make more sense, although she'd do it regardless.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alton, your feelings with Orvex affects your aim. Luckily, the target is huge. The bolt penetration itself is quite impressive, causing what seems like a lot of damage the way the creatures blood shoots from the hole. (-19)
Eku-saurus tries to bite at the frog creature, using her natural bite stats as well as the help from Gotur's magic.
Bite: 28 Damage: 11
Her teeth connect!
Froghemoth CON save: 27
and it resists Eku's poison. (-11 total)
Azaka is up, I am starting a new post as I don't want to mess up these rolls.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Okay cool. I don't have to feel as bad if I hit Eku with a bit of splash then. Should have waited until it opened its mouth to cast faerie fire, so it's gullet was lit up for Azaka too! :D ))
*WHACK* Evo's magical weapon smacks the huge frog again and the magical energy smashes the frog's skin. (-11), and your holy light sizzles its skin. (-9)
Gotur, the initial piece of ice hits the frog's body, (-3) but the shards are just too small to do anything to either the frog or Eku-saurus.
Orvex yells out "YEAH! You're killing it!!"
Phillip, your arrows once again find the mark. (-21) The poison again doesn't seem to take, though.
The froghemoth is up, and once again you hear Azaka's muffled screams as she seems to be burning up in there. (-14)
The froghemoth is not the smartest creature out there. I think it would try and attack Eku-saurus one more time before realizing that something isn't right.
It thrashes it's tentacles at her and also tries to bite her. I won't roll for this since Eku-saurus is still immune to the non-magical damage (there's no poison and the dino is too big to be swallowed), and she is already grappled, but your characters would see the attacks and note how it attacks, etc.
Lastly, you all see that the creature is looking pretty worse for wear.
Evo, the magical mace smashes into the froghemoth and it's had enough. The force smashes the frog and it lets out an awful sounding belch as it slowly goes limp and begins to float in the pool as your holy blasts light up the dead creature, just ensuring that it's done for.
Combat is over. The froghemoth is dead, floating there in the pool. Actually it's probably settling at the bottom but it's so big that some of it is out of the water.
Azaka would slice her way out of it's gullet a few minutes later, and then would be struggling to swim away from the mass of frogemoth death. She can't swim, and the water is 10 ft or more deep. However I'm going to handwave this because Eku would fly and help her, and I'm sure the lot of you would be able to help and get her out of the pool safely, eventually.
She would be a little bit in shock, but other than a few burn marks from the acid from the creatures stomach, she looks ok. "Let's not have that happen to me again, yes? I am ok though. It was burning me from the inside." and she's slowly getting back into better spirits. Considering.
Orvex comes closer to it and says "Yes. Yes! That indeed was a froghemoth! A rare sighting indeed!"
He also says "Er, sorry for bailing like that. Phillip, might you also have some type of bow or something that I could use? I didn't really have any other option there."and he looks at Alton with a sorry look on his face.
Eku would remain in her true couatl form after the Azaka rescue, and would take a quick flight around the perimeter and then say "I don't think there's anything else here. We shall proceed with more caution, yes?"
She would fly near Orvex and say "Orvex, shall you lead us to the door?"
I'll send it over to you for now. Let me know if there's anything you want to do or say. If not, Orvex would reluctantly but eventually go over to the shrine door and look at it. Eku would fly with him. Let me know if you'd come with, or what you'd do.

Alton’s gaze whips towards the fleeing Orvex, and he grimaces through gritted teeth. Coward, he mutters under his breath.

Attack: 17 Damage: 8
