Thariv looks at the odd, single bird and glances down at Clipper, to see if she too reacts badly. Assuming she does, he'll look to Luther. "You'll get no objection from me,"he says.
Entering the kitchen, Clipper snarls at the bird. The sparrow's only reaction is to slowly turn its head to get a better look at your party. It stares intensely.
Luther's arrow flies fast and hits the sparrow, killing it on impact. The cats relaxe now that there is no weird bird looking at them.
Coming into the kitchen you find nests belonging to multiple birds. The dead one seems to be completely normal, it was just its behaviour that was out of the norm. You find nothing useful in the room, rats and birds ate whatever was here long ago.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Luther stands stock still for a moment, letting the room settle after his sharp physical act to enter. He moves around looking for anything of note in the room, Truffles sniffing behind him and deftly leaping among the crate fragments.
Back in the corridor, you see that the path keeps curving to the left. After almost 100 feet you see a doorway to your left, going to the center of the keep. The corridor continues for a while, but you see that it collapsed not far from the door and the rubble makes it impossible to continue.
The cats arch their back in front of the doorway, sensing that the Phantomorph that scared Bely is hiding inside. The wooden door is slightly open, peering through the slim opening you see only darkness and hear no sounds.
The door creaks as Luther pushes it open, revealing a large round chamber, at least 40 feet wide. The floor is covered in tiles alternating black and white. Three statues lie in alcoves at the far end of the room, a knight, a tower and a priest, each the size of a human. In the center you see a 10 foot wide hole. By the looks of it, it used to be a shallow pool, but the floor there caved in and now you can't see the bottom.
Truffles spots a tentacle hiding behind the priest statue and alerts Luther that a monster is hiding there.
Kneeling in front of the pool is a woman. She stands when the door opens and extends her hand towards you "please help me."
Ryota has the feeling that he has seen her somewhere before.
OOC: Ryota please roll a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Even as Clipper's eyes grow wide at the strange sights in this room, Thariv's eyes narrow, peering into the room, looking at the statues and the hole in the floor. The pool exerts a powerful pull on him, and out of curiousity he takes a couple steps toward the woman.
"Why don't you come to us?" he says, extending his right hand as if offering her to come take it. The chunk of coral is held tight in his left fist, pulsing wildly.
((OOC: Just to confirm - the pool, though now deep, is still filled with water, right?))
The pool is empty, there is only a foot tall wall that used to contain water. Inside the floor is gone. You only see a bottomless hole where the pool used to be.
OOC: waiting a bit more for Ryota before moving on.

Entering the kitchen, Clipper snarls at the bird. The sparrow's only reaction is to slowly turn its head to get a better look at your party. It stares intensely.
Still holding his action, Luther decides to see his hunch through "If there's anything you have to say, bird, let's have it"
If the bird flies off, he fires: Attack: 23 Damage: 6
The bird blinks once and keeps staring at the party without flying away.
"Blink three times if you understand me, bird, and wish to parlay" says Luther, feeling a little ridiculous. The attack action is still held.
Losing patience, Luther looses his arrow at the bird.
Thariv glances at the others, and the cats. "That bird apparently was touched in the head." He can think of no other reason for its weird behavior.
"Okay then, room cleared" says Luther in matter-of-fact fashion, and goes back to the larger room in order to open the other door.
Truffles meanwhile, being a keen-eyed mouser, does a scan of the bird room to be sure: Truffles Perception 25
The second door seems to be jammed at first, but Luther opens it with a strong push. You find a small room full of rotten and splintered crates.
Rats and mice scamper everywhere and quickly run into small holes in the walls before anyone is able to enter. All food is gone, only garbage remains.

Clipper Perception 6
Almost nothing remains uneaten in this room. Looking around the mice nests, Truffles finds a single 12 faced die.
You feel confident that nothing of value remains here, and the cats feel that the phantomorph is still inside the castle.
"It would appear that, other than the wiry attackers and a weird bird, this area can offer us no clues"
Luther leaves the dining hall and continues to follow the corridor around.
Back in the corridor, you see that the path keeps curving to the left. After almost 100 feet you see a doorway to your left, going to the center of the keep. The corridor continues for a while, but you see that it collapsed not far from the door and the rubble makes it impossible to continue.

Nocking an arrow, Luther stands one side of the door frame and looks to his companions. "You want to prep anything before we do this?"
Truffles hisses loudly
"Not you"
Luther steps into the room, scanning for movement or anything untoward.
