AREA 7

A massive altar dominates the center of the room. It depicts a small winged demonic creature with a large paunch sitting atop a mass of reaching tentacles covered in toothy maws.

There are large double doors on the northern wall and hallways heading off to the northeast and northwest.

Zook ribs tne dirt and grim from his face and robes.  Man is his MeeMee gonna be upset.  Slowly he scans the room. 

Perception:

"Oh! Hello, Douglas." Camilla waves at the statue. Then squints through her glasses. "Ah, wait. No. That's not Douglas. I'm thinking of another demon. Sorry." she laughs briefly, sheepishly. "Probably shouldn't touch that."

Scanning the room, Zook finds it to be relatively empty other than the altar.

Tarak knows a bit about obscure religions from his time training as an acolyte in the Temple of Gruumsh.  He'll approach the altar and see if he knows anything about it or the deity it generates.

Religion 6

"This is some weird cult I reckon.  Looks totally unrecognizable to me."

Tarak approaches the altar. The statue looks unfamiliar, but as he gazes upon it, he hears a tiny voice whisper:

"Ask what you would know. You will be tested and Vorax the Devourer will grant your heart's desire."

Where is the Dark Traveller?

"An answer you seek, a test it is first," the voice proclaims louder. "What fun! What fun!"

Appearing in front of Tarak upon the altar is a large cat-like creature with a pair of odd tentacles protruding from its shoulders. It roars...and attacks.

Sydril turns at the roar and sees a large beast leaping for Tarak.  She pulls her bow up, nocking an arrow.

Sydril sights the beast with her arrow, takes a breath and lets it fly.  Her composure restored, it seems she lands the arrow.

 As the cat appears Morrigan's staff swirls with death magic and she swings it at the cat Attack: 18 Damage: 7 and if that hits the mist coats the beast (Booming blade, if it moves to get around her it takes 2 damage.) 

Camilla weaves up some infernal fire! "Bad kitty!"
