As Markus' second strike slices into the beast, it roars and suddenly bursts into smoke, fading away. A voice whispers to Tarak, "No fun. No fun at all." The voice mutters a bit before. "A question asked. A test passed. No fun at all. The one you seek lies beyond the double doors. Keep an eye for secrets." Wild laughter briefly is followed by silence.
Beyond the double doors! I'm so close. So very close. Tarak paces back and forth, staggering slightly. I need to be fitter than this to face the evil. He places his hands over his wounds and calls upon his god. Gruumsh, make me ready to claim my vengeance!
"The double doors," Tarak asserts strongly. "That's our next move. The dark traveller is beyond them. It's time for vengeance." He begins pacing back and forth, constantly moving, his face seething in barely contained anger.
Tarak seethes quietly as Sydril asks her question. "The followers of the Grasping Flame razed my temple," he tells her. "Burned it to the ground. Killed everyone. I had been sent off on a simple mission at the time and was absent. So only I survived. They killed every single one of my temple. Do you understand? All of them!" Tarak's eyes blaze with fury and his fingers grip his double-bladed broad axe till his knuckles are white.
She puts her hands over his and looks him directly in the eye..."I do understand Tarak, I understand your loss all too well." She says in a low voice, almost a whisper. Her eyes show her pain. "I must lose myself in action, lest I wither in despair." She quotes as she gives his hands a squeeze and steps back.
Opening the double doors you are greeted by a strong wind carrying a thousand incomprehensible whispers. Unlike the previous chamber, there is no light here, but the few rays from the room behind you illuminate the edge of a natural cavern with a thin rock bridge riddled with small holes crossing over a dark chasm.

Tarak checks that everyone else is ready behind him and then steps out carefully onto the thin rock bridge, greataxe firmly clasped in his hands. He lets his darkvision take over and keeps his senses alert for danger. This place reeks of a trap.
As Tarak steps onto the bridge, squeals and squeaks come from ahead as he sees a number of shapes erupt from holes in the bridge. While not rushing forth to attack, the creatures -- which include on massive rat and five others -- appear to be being quite territorial as they bear their teeth and chatter about midway across the bridge. Now closer, Tarak believes the whispers could be created by the wind whistling through the many holes pock-marking the stone bridge. He can also see in the center of the bridge, behind the rats, is a large pillar made of stone.
Tarak swings his two-handed axe mightily, going more for power than accuracy. "Die foul demon-spawn! I will pass your test!"
