"I left some rigging up there, don't know if it lasted, that up there could belong to Layla's killers, I think Sonic said something about dropping down or coming down."

“Uh, well, do you think those ropes belong to them then?” Toots asks sheepishly.

"Maybe."

OOC: Wysp, did Toot’s Perception check reveal anything?

”Go check it out. Here, take this and I’ll cover you.” Toots hands Tommary the Hag’s Eye.

"Well, I'm not the world's expert on rope provenance, but I'll get on up there and take a reckon."  Tommary the Unworthy but Possible Gecko-Blooded checks the apparatus for any overt signs of out of the ordinariness, then takes a climb to take a look at the ropes.

 It's rope hanging from the top. There are exactly 3 rats and 7 roaches in the area. One of the rats is walking with a limp and the others are looking at it like food. The roaches are feeding on the headbone of a vampire fish.

Perception 11 Athletics 19 Investigation 27

 The rope is well secured and easily holds the weight of Tommary. There is a solid knot in the middle combining two lengths of rope together. He also confirms that it has been well tied off at the top. The remains of a camp fire are present along with the charred and cracked bones of a gnoll. The sun will probably set in a couple of hours.

Tommary the Unworthy Streaming Corresponent works the hags eye to grant Toots a "you are there, too" perspective, sometimes turning the eye toward his own face to provide a talking head perspective, sometimes holding the eye in front of his own view and providing background narration.  All very professional.  Panning over the remains of the utilitarian and tactical fires, Tommary narrates (oh, he's doing this as message all the time, finding a hack allowing him to use the eye as a spell focus for message), "Think we found our campsite [pans to the sinking sun] ... for the night."

Toots climbs up the rope but halfway up, near the knotted ends, she loses her grip. Luckily one of her many straps catches on the knot and prevents the painful, crushing death of a few roaches. She makes her way up the rest of the way with no incident.

“Woah. That… was close. A little too close.”

As Toots emerges from the mountain, she finds Tommary has left a set  of sticks arranged in a sort of arcane stick figure.  Tommary then starts using the Hag's Eye to present Toots with cinematography inspired by this instructional reel he watched in the vaults, The Blair Witch Project.

Toots, a little motion sick, snatches the Eye back from Tommary. ”Give me that! It’s not a toy.” She then calls down the hole: “Are youse guys comin,’ or what?” 

"Sure, sure.  Just try an' make sure Tallboots keeps all that Vault-talk of his under control for five minutes, eh?  Girl's gotta rest while she's restin'."

Once everyone is up topside, Toots suggest that the sneaky gits go hunt up something for dinner while she sets up camp.

As the only member of the party carrying an uncrossed bow, Tommary the Unworthy Gamewarden, skulks off to take advantage of the available light to waylay birds and other critters coming home from their diurnal activity, once past the clearing's treeline, the party hears the occasional "thwip" of 's his bow's cool sound can "silencer".  Survival 20

OOC congratulations!

Tommary pulls in a few birds of eating size, some wild onions, and edible fungus.

The party enjoys a warm rest in fresher air and best of all dry feet.
