Ilyara opts to test the grove of swayvines with something other than Tallboots' face, casting Mage hand and reaching over with it to grab and tug on one of the tendrils.

 As soon as the mystic hand touches the tendril, quickly wraps itself around it in a looping snare.

OOC: As GM I"M not sure if the hand can or will take damage.

“I wonder….” Toots plays her dirge at a tendril: (Attack: 15 Damage: 7). 🤞

Elyona pulls out her rod of Lordly Might, and presses the button to turn it into a flaming sword.  She does not attack, but stands ready to do so if the tendrils attack any of her party.

"So...gonna say that's not anything we want t' wander into ass-akimbo, yeah?"

 The tendril evaporates and you see the overhanging mushroom shudder and shake. Many tendrils hanging from the underside of the cap flail at Toots but she is too far away (30 feet).

“Well, we can clear them from safety.” Toots starts playing dirges to clear the tendrils. (OOC: if you want I’ll roll for ‘em, but I figure if she’s just gonna keep playing ‘til it’s clear there’s little point to it.)

Toots starts to play music continuously, shattering the tendrils left and right hanging from the mushroom. The main stalk and cap shake as if in anger. Even the ground shakes a little.

Tommary the Unworthy adds an unnecessary finger wag to as he taunts "uh uh uhhhhh" to try out vicious mockery on the vineage. 6

The giant mushroom is not intimidated at all.

OOC: I don’t think our characters need to cause the wholesale slaughter of this fungal forest, just clear a safe path through it. Right?

OOC: Elyona would certainly be more comfortable with clearing  just what we need to great through. 

“It looks like when I attack the tendrils it hurts the big mushroom ‘trees’ themselves. I’m only gonna kill enough of the tendrils to let us move through safely and leave everything else alone. Okay?”

"Seems like th' right course t' me, yep."

"Fine" Tommary the Unworthy will mow down foliage another time.

Toots clears away more tendrils and the large mushroom eventually becomes tendril free. The shaking of the ground doesn't seem to stop though.
