 The door slides to the side so unless you barricade it, it would be difficult to secure. 

OOC: There are beings of metal inside the door, Tommary wants to join them to become their second in command and change his name to Starscream. With the Rodan thing, he could see his ideal form to be that of Star Scream in Beast Wars ... I actually don't know if Starscream was in Beast Wars, but Tommary evidently thinks so.  The lore is sometimes muddied in the vaults.

Having feasted and armed with a new "agenda", Tommary will [Tooltip Not Found] the door to see if he can figure out this mechanism, more specifically a workaround to this mechanism for those not deemed worthy of access, trying to extrapolate based on his experiences with the rotating door, Nine, and having been voluntarily electrocuted by Toots during the T-Rex episode that bonded the Unworthy to Sizzlean. 20. This inquiry may be his first step in his Unworthy Quest for the Allspark.

 There is a slot in the panel with small rectangular glass plates above it, one red, one green. The slot is horizontal and about two inches wide.

Tommary notices there is something stuck in the slot.

OOC: I think we all figured out the tooltip not found in my last post was a investigation check.

IC:  "Well, I think it's spark stuff.  I think I remember something like this with the spinny glass door, the one where I gave you the Kubayashi sign and told you the needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few, or the one.  Anyway, you got these red and green glasses on top of this slot.  I think when it glows green, it thinks you're a friendly and the door opens.  If it glows red, it thinks you're an enemy or a lost but have no business here, so I think we're either going to try to make it turn green or disregard its guard duty and just open,  Wait, there's something in the slot, I think I'll try to see if I can pick and pull it out.  Thieves Tools:  18

OOC: dang it, all that IC text is supposed to be in Tommary's customary green.

Tommary pulls at a smooth, flat, rectangular tile, black in color with several holes in it.

When the tile is removed, the green glass lights up and the door slides open.

Just beyond is a small 20 by 20 foot room with grey walls and a badly worn floor. Directly ahead is a similar door with slot. The edge between wall and ceiling have rods that glow, giving off bright light. Some of the rods are not glowing.

Do any of the rods do that flickering thing that produces a shadow and strobe type effect?

OOC: Do the glow rods look removable?  Asking for a friend.

 It looks like it would take some effort. But if Ilyara tries, she discovers that once removed from their brackets, they stop glowing. 

“Hey Ily, is it warm to the touch? What’s it made of?”

"Careful" Tommary says over the tube handling, while Starscream was one of the noblest transformers in the shattered glass universe, it would also mean formidable challenges were ahead, like a Nemesis Prime type with NO CODE.
