Whether Tommary uses the potion or not he discovers nothing new except the holes go down about 8 feet to darkened spaces. The door at the end of the hall is not an illusion.

“So, which way? Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe….”

It's really quiet...like almost too quiet.

"............anybody got any potatoes?  We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?" 

“No potatoes, but we could go back to that kitchen and gather some of those rocks.”

"Ehhhh, ye can't eat rocks.  That's why it needs t' be potatoes. Or somethin' else a critter can eat.  Anybody got chunks of monster, if they don't got potatoes?"

“We got rations.”

"Yeah but WE gotta eat those, an' I ain't givin' up dinner just to scout some holes.  Ely, Tallboots, you two got any ideas?" 

“I could conjure an illusion of food. Or I could try and detect thoughts to see if anything is lurking down there.”

Ilyara stares at Toots for a few moments, a weird sort of look on her face, then lets loose a long, quiet sigh while wiping her (right) hand down her muzzle. 

"Gads.  I just ain't been thinkin' right ever since I got outta that cursed Wintersday ornament. Hope nothin's permanently broken up there," she mutters, sounding a bit worried.  "But aye, can try some stuff.  Make some lights an' float 'em down t' see with usin' Sneakypaw, see if anything pounces or growls at th' light.  An' if not I'll head down a few an' take a direct look."

{Provided no one objects, Ilyara will wait for some Light spells, then use SneakyPaw/Mage Hand to dangle the light down the hole closest to the kitchen door.  Ilyara's SneakyPaw is invisible, if that matters.}

Tommary the Unworthy will contribute a cast to the light show.

"............huh.  Just had a thought, actually.  Anybody got any livin' stuff they don't mind losing?  Rotten food, broken leather strap, anything else of th' like?"

 OOC: I wouldn't want you to waste a spell slot, but you do realize the whole of this place is some sort of metal, with some possible wooden panels. You can still go ahead and do it but just saying as a reminder. It might work, it might not.

"Somehow just occurred t' me...if I do my SneakyPaw spell with this hand," Ilyara said, waving Evil Lefty, "does that mean whatever SneakyPaw touches also ends up dusted?  I'm...not sure which way I want that t' go, t' be honest.  Would potentially be useful, but would also be karkin' creepy..."

OOC: Maybe you could throw the skull down there? =) Although there is no meat connected to them, there are a few skeletons in the dining/kitchen room.

“You. Wouldn’t. Dare.”

After a mysterious voice in the back of her mind reminds her of the dead people in the kitchen (Traveler?  Do you have advice?), Ilyara will briefly return to it, eye the sink balefully, and cast SneakyPaw specifically using her left hand for the somatic components rather than her right or Rilia.  She specifically chooses not to make it invisible, instead inspecting it to see if it looks different.  Whether it does or not, she'll poke the smallest isolated bone she can find with her Potentially Evil SneakyPaw and see if anything other than poking happens.

Ilyara's mystic hand appears normal in most ways and has little effect on the bone except to nudge it along the floor.

"Y'know, that's honestly kinna reassurin'.  My magic's not cursed, at least.  Does mean I can't just SneakyPaw that evil skull an' wait for it to expire though.  Hate leavin' that nasty thing behind us."

Ilyara rejoins the others and contributes Proven Not Evil SneakyPaw to light-scouting.
