Hey guys, I’m a new DM and I’ve ran a few test session online with my friends. I don’t have any of the books I’ve just been using online resources and videos to try learn how dnd works, and there are so many things that I just can’t figure out how they work, I was wondering what the best way to learn would be? I can’t buy the books atm as I don’t have enough money but if that’s the reason I’m not able to figure out a lot of the rules then I’ll just save up https://routerlogin.uno/https://192168ll.link/. Thanks!
Let me introduce you to the Basic Rules! It's completely free, and it contains just about all the rules you need to know to get going, including things from the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

As others have pointed to the basic rules are free and should be enough to get started. Also don't worry about memorizing all the rules, rather learn how the rules are organized so you can more easily reference them as needed.
Finally, your party will ask to do things that aren't covered by the rules. You will have to improvise and make things up as you go. That is part of the fun of being a DM and can lead to some really memorable moments on the game!

Yes... read the Basic Rules!
And, if you can, ask a friend to run a simple encounter/event to get a better grasp.
(Can be any of the free adventures that comes with the rules or dndbeyond).
