I am entitled to run the game as I see fit. Two rings, max. End of story. I don't care if the book says you can wear a 10000 rings, my world my rules my story. No one has ever had an issue with that rule
Just because the book says something doesn't mean its law, your game, your rules, as long as everyone in the group agrees to the rules all is good.
You're ENTITLED to believe whatever you want, but it's kind of a ****** move to respond to someone's question by claiming something is OP w/out explaining why you think that way. And then when given evidence that it isn't, you respond with "Well, it's my world. I can do whatever I want." As if anyone was challenging that.
What we're challenging is your asinine assertion that more than two rings is OP without any reasoning other than "that's the way it used to be".
“It is a better world. A place where we are responsible for our actions, where we can be kind to one another because we want to and because it is the right thing to do instead of being frightened into behaving by the threat of divine punishment.” ― Oramis, Eldest by Christopher Paolini.
In previous versions of D&D you could only wear a maximum of 2 magic rings. Has that limitation been removed? I cannot find any rule disallowing a character to have 20 rings on (21 if male) other than you cannot be attuned to more than 3 items.
Anyone want to comment on this?
Um, why 21 if male? lol
Maybe I just have a perverted mind but I think they're referring to the finger that lies in-betwinger

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

Frankly, if you're really trying, you can probably fit like 40 or 50 rings on your fingers... depends on how thick they are, how much you value your manual dexterity, etc.
Sure, you're left with the majority of them being non-attunement, but hey, if you want to wear 47 rings of Water Walking, maybe I'll let you walk on water vapor ;)
Most characters would be better served with a Staff of Power or Belt of Giant Strength (Storm). Than three rings.. Thats why there is no ring limit by the book.
To be fair, our friend is called TheEvilDM. I don't know what kind of correlation that has though.
Unless you're an artificer with a whole fist of bling. ;)
