I just wanted to say that you are a God among men fohswe.
I stumbled upon this thread and this solves a problem that I always had with beyond: The disconnection between broken down site content and the book content. Being someone that double dips for books (physical and then beyond), this is "beyond" useful.
May the light of the morning ever shine upon you.
May your harvest always be bountiful.
And may the scales of justice always bend in your favor.
It was made as an extension to the work that went into this thread. It can be used to look up physical pages and the closest matching section on DDB, like so (looking up page 256 in PHB): https://ddbredirecter.com/redirecter/?PHB256
Thanks so much I will use this as I try to get my bookmarks to match my tabs on my physical book I really wish they could put a function to turn page numbers on in the app book viewer. This is a load of work thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Yeah, I'm hoping DDB will eventually make all page references clickable so that you can jump to the corresponding section. I was thinking of making a Chrome extension and leverage the ddbredirecter to make clickable page references, but alas, life have had me do other things :P
I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, because this is AWESOME... my only question is has anyone stepped up for XGtE ?
I did, but it's not on the forum :-) You can find a link in comment #25 (and in my signature, top link). It's a different tool, and I understand that it would be convenient to have XGtE presented in the same way as this thread. It provides a nice overview. I'm not likely to go about doing that any time soon though :(
I will be retiring the ddbredirecter.com domain come April. So if you have been using https://ddbredirecter.com/redirecter/ this will change. You can save the page offline if you like, it should work locally on your computer. I think the site will continue working through GitHub Pages though, and i will post back here when i have more information.
Another project might see the light of day (using the data from my indexing) both from me and someone else.

I have indexed PHB, DMG, MM, SCAG and XGtE.
Any chance you could make this as a chrome extension/browser plug-in? You don't have to pay to host the page that way.
Not me, but someone might ;) I can't say anything more rn.
The hosting is free, since it's using Github Pages. What will happen come April is that the domain goes away, but the actual page will live on under something like plutoneld.github.io/somename.
I'll be sure to mention the new URL, so for those who uses the Redirecter you can update your bookmarks (and Chrome search query in case you used that)!
This is a fantastic resource, thanks for all your effort. Your re-director also includes xgte, which I personally find is the one I need to reference most often - any chance you have the links for ddb->page number for that book?

Amazing work. Have you thought about a browser plugin? I could probably do one for Firefox if I get the time and you're ok with it.
I know someone else planned on doing browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome. I haven't heard anything for about 6 months, so I don't know what the status is :(

Thank you very much! :D

I have retired the domain now, and the Redirecter can be found here https://plutoneld.github.io/ddb-redirecter/ going forward.
Everything works as it used too, it's just a new domain. So for instance https://plutoneld.github.io/ddb-redirecter/?PHB105 would take you to the Warlock class on the PHB page 105.

I don't have the same data for XGtE but i could look into it! It might not be too much work with the data i do have, actually... 😄

Late reply, but i actually did get around to this and you can find XGtE here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/rules-game-mechanics/111785-page-references-d-d-beyond-to-rule-books-xgte
I meant to do SCAG and TCoE, but i've been busy with life and family.
I know someone else planned on doing browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome. I haven't heard anything for about 6 months, so I don't know what the status is :(
But if you are looking for a simple page lookup, you can use my other work found here: https://plutoneld.github.io/ddb-redirecter/
At least in Chrome you can leverage that and do a Custom Search Engine.
