T a r g e t i n g Y o u r s e l f If a spell targets a creature of your choice, you can choose yourself, unless the creature must be hostile or specifically a creature other than you. If you are in the area of effect of a spell you cast, you can target yourself.
however, the spell haste says: Choose a willing creature that you can see within range
I'm trying to cast haste on myself, however my DM is arguing stating that a creature of my choice, and a willing creature are two different things. So i was wondering if you could cast Haste on yourself
Yes, I distinctly recall JC's reply to similar questions (I'm paraphrasing here): "You are a creature, probably willing, and you can see yourself." Keep in mind, however, you cannot cast it, even on yourself, if you're blinded, or in darkness, or are invisible, or similar (and you have no way to mitigate those issues, of course).
In the Player's handbook, it says:

Yes, you can cast Haste on yourself.
The reason they must be a WILLING target is due to the downside of the spell at the end.

With the same reasoning as your DM did, Mage Armor wouldn't be possible to be casted on the spellcaster. Which would be lame.
Agree with Stormknight, a willing creature includes the spellcaster.

Power Word Kill has the same wording also.
