I'm starting a new campaign with some friends and my character is a half-orc bloodhunter. I've got the main idea for the backstory down, but I don't know if there's any specific "topics" I have to cover, if that makes sense.
For example, can the ability to do hemocraft be inherited? Or is it solely through the ritual that bloodhunters go through (I forgot the name...Hunters bane maybe?). Stuff like that.
From what I understand about it it is like the witcher, hemocraft is the side effect of joining the cabal/cult/organisation etc and is part of an official ceremony (I think the witcher also has it render the recipient infertile as well but I'm not up on the witcher lore so could be wrong).
That said I would be ok with having it inherited and passed down sort of like a familial blessing (or curse if you go for the lycan one).

Any input would be greatly appreciated 😊
