I am currently playing Storm King's Thunder and I've just hit level 5 on my revised arcane archer. I'm now torn on where I should go. I was thinking arcane trickster would be fun and would fit into my background story, but continuing with fighter also seems very good.
Cunning action and adding DPR are why I was thinking of adding rogue.
I currently have sharpshooter and my current stats are listed below:

Also, on top of the revised arcane archer my DM also made it so I have arcane shots = to my intelligence modifier.
Multiclassing really depends what you think the campaign will go to level wise. If this is short term campaign then I say stick with Fighter. If's going to lets say 15th level then you plan a little better.
Arcane trickster would fit for the INT aspect but I think you would get more DPS from being an Assassin. All depends on how you see your character.
Yeah, getting to level 7 for curved shot does seem really good. I think also going Fighter 7 and revised ranger 3 would be good for the extra fighting style.
I was thinking curved shot with rogue sneak attack. If you miss and the second target is still within sneak attack range, use curved shot + sneak attack damage and hope you crit.

What do you want the fighting style for as an Arcane Archer? Once you've got archery it would seem you're set. On the other hand, you're giving up your level 8 ability score / feat. Every level has some small thing you're giving up, but that's no good.
Revised Ranger is pretty solid, but it's not balanced for multiclassing yet, so if you want to abuse it, what you want is a 1-level dip for the hilarious first-turn sniping and the damage bonus against all humanoids or monstrosities.

Suggest Fighter 7 (arcane archer) / Rogue 8 (assassin)

Thinking of multi-classing......don't. :)
