Thanks! I didn't realize there was another post about it lol
It was one of my first thoughts when the DDB beta opened. 'Wait, are you including the Plane Shift stuff or am I sticking to the PDFs?' I sincerely hope it's the former.
I was thinking about running a planeswalker campaign. The Kaladesh and now Amonkhet guides feel more like adventures than world guides. I tried to run a campaign in Zendikar, but I really had difficulty without a decent world map. These guides are very cool and filled with great info, but they have all felt like they come up just short of being playable as a stand alone piece for me.

These are some of the most accurate to the art book maps I've seen for Zendikar. Did you make these in Inkarnate? Thanks for sharing them here too!
I'm listening to Matt Collville talking about West Marches campaigns this afternoon. It got me thinking that maybe the Plane Shift settings would work better along that kind of structure. The lack of world maps pushes it in that direction for me. Especially for Kaladesh and Amonkhet as these planes focus around one city with broad stroke descriptions of the outside world. The other thought, and the one I'm leaning most toward right now, was to use them a Abeir style worlds on the Material plane.
Yes these were done in Inkarnate. I had made a smaller one before the update so needed to update and just decided to take the extra time to do each continent as it's own map. Group has already traversed 3 continents and about to hit Tazeem so I want them to have something detailed.
Also thanks, It took quite a while for this one. I'll expect at some point I might have to do some of the other Planes as I'm going to be introducing the "Gate" system into the game for traversing between multiple planes.
I love these, and I will have to make a campaign soon. I want more stuff from older MTG editions though, my DnD group has a lot of former players, but most didn't make it much further than Mirrodin...which happens to be my favorite!
Have oved the material in them and am using them in my planescape campaign the only thing i would say is some of the player races especially in Zendikar are rather good compared to their PHB equivalents. But what i found is if you go that they have to pick between certain features rather than just get them all it works out fine.
On the ote of planeswalking PCs, I am giving them the spell no matter the class at a point i feel their spark would ignite. The key bits being though they can only transport themselves meaning party splitting and therefore diffculties will be rampant if planeswalkers just keep jumping randomly.

I've been trying to write up a 'Planeswallk' spell distinct from 'Planes Shift'. Here what I've got. (This is a rough draft, feedback is appreciated.)
'Planeswalk'
LEVEL 0TH
CASTING TIME 1 MINUTE
RANGE/AREA SELF
COMPONENTS S
DURATION CONCENTRATION
SCHOOL EVOCATION
ATTACK/SAVE NONE
DAMAGE/EFFECT TRANSPORTATION
'The caster alines two planes of existence at a single spatial point. The caster than phases or 'walks' from one plane to another via this alined point.'
Admittedly, you could always do like the appendix in the Amonkhet article says and simply go 'Oh I planeswalk to Innistrad' and leave it at that. But having it statted out is always a good idea.

I feel like that shouldn't be a cantrip though
Planeswalking is supposed to be an 'at will' type effect and a cantrip is the closest you can get to 'at will' magic outside of the Sorcerer. And they'd only get the spell after igniting, so level really doesn't matter in this case.

I'm so hoping that they release Mirrodin. I've wanted to throw myr at my group for years.
Futuaris nisi irrisius ridebus.
Just a heads up that the Amonkhet supplement was just released, in case anyone here was unaware.
Futuaris nisi irrisius ridebus.
Yeah it's got some good stuff in there, several new races, more like variants though, cleric domains etc.
They just released Amonkhet plane shift.
Just an average metalhead who plays DnD in his spare time.
PbP Character: Roberta Thalan, Void Beyond the Stars Otherside
PbP Character: Primus Eidolon, Eotha 2
PbP Character: Usmor Illiqai, Tomb of Corrosion
PbP Character: "Templar" Danver, You're the Villains
Homebrew stuff
I have been running my main campaign in Zendikar for the last 10 months and just got to the point where everyone has sparked.
For those of you worried about the sparking concept this has been worked over pretty well in the Amonket appendix.

Just posted a full set of world & continent maps last night.

To save everyone the five seconds needed to google these.

Mirrodin [aka New Phyrexia] will be in the planeshifts eventually. It is earmarked at the last two pages of the Amonket pdf.
Does anyone know if there are any plans to include the content from the Planeshift articles directly into DDB? Thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind, this question was answered here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/1083-magic-the-gathering-planes-shift-yay-or-nay
