The character builder page isn't super clear on this, but we have a ton of 5th ed physical books and there are many options I don't see in the character builder. Is there any way to add that content? Is the builder forever limited? If not do you have to buy the digital copies of the books as well to get access to that content? Is there another way to do this?
Sorry if this is all super basic but we only just noticed this feature recently.

Ok, but to confirm, because this is what I was most unclear on, if we bought the digital books, the options would appear in the character generator right?

Hi Nick,
that's correct! All of the relevant races/subraces, subclasses, feats, spells, magic items etc are granted as part of purchasing each book on D&D Beyond.
If you just need a specific piece of content, you can also purchase just that piece of content from the marketplace (like if you want Forest Gnome from the Player's Handbook) and then the cost of the full sourcebook is reduced by the money spent, in case you decide to upgrade to the full book later.

You have to have the digital version, or you can homebrew it all yourself.
For your convenience :)

You have to buy the digital version. This is a different company than WoTC; they need to make their money somehow.
