Im trying to build a Lv 1 Paladin but can't seem to find out their starting initative(?) Could someone tell me what it is and also tell me where in the manual it mentions it as I can't see it. :s

It's just the DEX modifier. It's also independent from the class, all classes follow the same initiative rules.

Ah it's okay, I found the answer. Initative = Dexterity. :)

Note, if you simply follow the step-by-step character creation in DDB’s character builder, it will automatically take care of that stuff for you. If it doesn’t give you an option to enter something (like initiative) that’s because you don’t have to do it.

 Well no, not quite. When you roll for initiative you add your Dexterity modifier.
