There's this thing called Thread Necromancy, which means posting on a thread that been dormant for several years, thus "bringing it back from the dead." I found that analogy pretty funny. Maybe we could do the same with other schools of magic. What would other schools of magic entail when posting on a thread? Just for fun. Thread Evocation? Thread Abjuration? Thread Illusion? Hmmm.

I think all threads originate with thread conjuration. Flame wars are thread evocation. Locking a thread and banning accounts is thread abjuration.
Thread Illusion is ignoring the user who started the thread. Thread Transmutation is getting the thread moved to a different subforum.

Thread Abjuration is using the [Report] button.
Thread Conjuration is creating a new thread.
Thread Divination is using the Search function.

These are all very interesting! Here are some of my takes:
Thread Evocation would be posting to cause a tension "flare-up."
Thread Enchantment would be trying to take command of a thread, and making sure people post only certain things.
Thread Illusion would be making the title false or misleading, contrasting from what the thread is actually about.

Lol, I was going to say Thread Transmutation was what happens when a conversation goes off-topic...
I would have said that was Thread Enchantment. 😉

Thread divination is a poll. Especially the ones that start with: What's the best...
Thread Illusion is when the tittle has absolutely nothing to do with the thread itself.
Thread evocation is any thread that starts with: Unpopular opnion...
And Divine Intervention os when people call for staff on threads
