So did anyone else know D&D Beyond now have a mini-adventure "choose your path" style intro to D&D? I discovered this today (I made a video of my 'playthrough' , but it seems the speech part of my brains was especially hateful of me today). I'm interested if anyone else gave this a go?
Oh and we now have premade characters available. When was that a thing?

Soft opening no doubt, with more official announcement this weekend (movie premier)? There's probably ready to go copy in the press kits, etc. Calm before the storm indeed.
I stumbled across the Before the Shadow thing a while back: There was some reference in a post by a staff member about it being released a bit early or something, but encouraging us to check it out. There was something on enworld about it, and maybe a Facebook post.
The pre-gen characters thing was announced at the "follow up party" twitch stream done by DDB staff right after the D&D Direct event on Tuesday. But I note it hasn't shown up on the change log yet.
I tried it out and didn't really like it -- I get how it's supposed to function as a soft intro to D&D, but it doesn't have my favorite class, and a lot of the multiple choice options leave me going 'I want to choose none of these,' which is where D&D really shines.
I like adventures like this, and am quite excited to play through it. Thank you for notifying us about this, Cybermind.
From what I've seen so far, Before the Storm reminds me of an improved version of a similar adventure in the Pathfinder starter set. I am glad that Wizards experimented with a tutorial like this, and didn't notice (until now) that premade characters had been added as an option either.

i've seen a couple of videos of others doing what you did. they also all remark how the only notice is the one in the changelog.
i can only assume at some point an announcement is forthcoming. maybe they're still tweaking it before they make a formal announcement/=?

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
