I’m making a Druid Eladrin as a backup for my current character I’m playing. But when I get to the personality characteristics there are no longer suggestions? I’ve created a ton of characters before and have never had this problem before. Is there a fix for this https://nox.tips/https://xender.vip/?
Some do and some don't. Wilderspacer and Drifter from Spelljammer do not as the source doesn't have Suggested Characteristics, either. Pirate and Folk Hero from PHB do as the PHB has Suggested Characteristics. Which specific backgrounds are you trying to use?

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Yeah, none of the newest backgrounds include any suggestions whatsoever, and the ones that came out just before those only have Personality Trait suggestions and none for Ideals, Bonds, or Flaws. They are dropping those suggestions moving forward and the upcoming new edition of D&D won’t have any suggestions at all as they are moving away from pre-written backgrounds entirely to a “build your own” background system.

Which is a shame. I absolutely agree that players should be encouraged to make their own character traits, but it was extremely helpful to have suggested characteristics based on background. They provide really good ideas.
Thing is the ones you have already in PHB and such cover pretty much most of any you would ever use. Many are quite adaptable to any sort of character with any sort of background. And for those who have made multiple characters before they become unnecessary as it is easy enough to come up with your own by that point. You'll notice in many books after the PHB the suggestions are often copies, or slightly modified copies, of the ones found in PHB with very very few being actually something new. So future publications are not bothering because it's just repetition by this point. The suggestions are primarily for people who have never played D&D or similar games before to help with making a character feel a bit more, um, alive.
And then there's the fact many games don't bother with them at all. I've not yet come across a single D&D game where the DM gave a crap about what you put in those boxes.
And for some people trying to come up with those feels restrictive and limiting and prefer to play their character more organically. This is the category I fall in.
They're useful, sure, but only marginally in most cases.

I think I'd be happy with a master table in the PHB or something. It doesn't need to be in every book, but they're useful to have in general.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

I was thinking the same thing. I think it'd be a good use for the alignment chart... just to have a table with suggestions organized using the alignment chart as a base.

I actually like this idea and think it'd be more helpful for new players especially.

I am not a fan of them because they are fairly limited but I also have no problem of a short doc that has that info for sale as an add on.
