Is it possible to use DnDB to share a pre-created digital asset mid-game? For example, if my party finds a note, or if one of them has a dream, etc., is there a way I can just send them that thing so that it forever remains accessible to them within the campaign in DnDB?

Technically yes. You can create an item and then add text to it and share it mid game by adding it to the players inventory. I'm practice I would use any other method of doing thisas it's not worth the time or effort.

There's a "DM notes" section that's visible on the campaign page.
In practice, you may find a shared google doc more useful.
Yah I think I agree. Thank you. Its too bad. Seems like a campaign journal with an itemized share functionality would be pretty useful.

I use a group PM here on DDB for such things.
