Forgive me but I am old enough I was playing Willy Crowther's Adventure before it became Zork. I sometimes forget things and I do not wish to purchase an item twice.,
also, there’s a filter on the Marketplace pages (the store, not the link above) that you can set to hide things you’ve already purchased. It doesn’t always hide “featured” content you own, though, so keep an eye out for that.
I would agree, the market place you can set a filter to show what you don't have but what about what you do have?
I have bought source and campaigns on DnD Beyond in a sale or on a whim, but when thinking what to run i don't really want to go into my past orders to see what i have bought before on each order. It would be so much simpler if your collections had your books in it, (as in you bought it and collected it), or if there was a filter in source books that indicated the books you own it would be a better user experience than present.

This may or may not help, but in the android app when I download my books it tags shared with me or has a link to the store if I don't own a book.
