I just started playing this and I wanna play with some others but I have no idea what to do. I'm really confused. I don't understand how to play. If someone could please explain how I'm supposed to play I would really appreciate it.
So, i think you should start by reading the basic rules. Also do you want to be a Dungeon Master (the person who makes the story) or a player. After that you should decide if you want to play online or in person.
if you want to play online i would look for a group that is also new to dnd in the dnd beyond forum for finding a group.
if you want to play in person you could look for people at your school (if your in school) who also want to play. If you can’t find anyone that way you could go back to dnd beyond forums and look for a group who wants to play in person in you area. Roll20 also has some good stuff to help you learn how to play.
That should be your first stop. It is a very simple set of rules, free, that describe the answers to many of your questions initially.
You will need paper, pencil or pen, and a set of dice of different shapes and sizes You can find them by doing a search for "D&D Dice".
After that, get some other folks together and see if anyone wants to be the DM. If so, then you can use the free adventure here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/lmop

Another thing I like to suggest too is to look at one of the many D&D shows/podcasts/livestreams out there (Adventure Zone and Critical Role are both great for this) and just casually listen when you have time here and there. Pay attention to the mechanics of what's going on in the game; player abilities, DM rulings, attacks, skills, etc. Over time, as you're learning the rules either from the book or at another table, you'll find that by osmosis you're getting a better understanding of how the rules interact in the wild, and you'll constantly see examples that maybe the printed rules might lack.
I don't even like listening to dnd that much, it doesn't have the same appeal to me as playing, but listening to these shows definitely helped me learn the system until I had it internalized and could focus less on what the rules are and more on how to resolve situations in game.
