My party has obtained a mumdane book that is very old and delicate. It is something they will want to keep and will need to keep it from crumbling to dust. Is there a spell that can reinforce or preserve this item?
Depending on your GM, mending might do the trick. (I generally allow it to fix up old, deteriorating items, but it's also generally not a plot point for me that they are old and deteriorating.)

Theoretically, gentle repose might do it if the DM approves of this off-label use.
