When you buy something in a different currency the provider of the payment method (your bank, paypal, etc) will convert it. They may apply a currency conversion fee and they may have their own currency conversion rates.

This is my experience as a UK consumer - I don't use Paypal: I just use cards. Unless you pay using a Credit Card, you will be charged a conversion fee (as I have before when I used my Debit Card by accident). Currently, there is no way to buy stuff in British Pounds on this site, which is a bummer.

This may seem like a stupid question, but I've been looking into it and cant find an answer to whether I will be charged a conversation fee if I live in the UK and am trying to by from DND Beyond?
DND Beyond won't charge you a conversion fee. Whatever payment system you use *may* charge a conversion fee. You would need to ask your payment system (ie... bank, CC, PayPal) if they charge a conversion fee.
Even in 2024 there is still no way to change the currency to GBP...I have bought some items from teh shop and even though the exchange charge from my bank is small it is an unnecessary charge. Pls sort this out D&D Beyond
If you want UK prices try shopping through the app instead of the website. However it doesn't offer sales prices, takes longer for purchases to register on your account and the fixed GBP price often ends up more than the US dollar conversion price

Hey
Im trying to buy multiple books from DnD Beyond, but everything is showing in USD while im in the United Kingdom and us GP
is there away to change it so im buying stuff in GP?. . or will my bank do the conversion rate for me?
even when i've proceeded fully to check out, its still showing in USD instead of GP, when i've stated its in the UK
im confused if im going to be charged the USD amount, or if its going to convert it
Edit
If i use Paypal to pay for the books, does it also charge in USD, cause pay pal usually converts that
