Attempting to create a weapon that deals +1 damage when the wielder is less than half health. Saw conditional modifiers was on the Dnd Beyond roadmap a while back but cannot figure out how to create this.
Not trying to make stuff more realistic, just add more flair and variety to different weapons. I don't mind stuff being a bit overtuned and such.
I just wanted to add some flair and a reason to use different things, and not just choose whichever has best damage (outside of RP reasons). The enemies will be harder to match.
And honestly, something ignoring shield doesn't seem too op. Not every enemy has shields and not every player will have one.
But then again I'm mostly just coming up with ideas. Haven't actually tried anything yet.

The homebrew tools don't currently support such a modifier

Currently, D&D Beyond does not support automatic damage based on conditions.
You can just write in the weapon description: "+1 damage when below half health" and remember to apply it when playing.
