I assume I am not missing some master resource regarding how to use DDB. I've seen the help text embedded in many forms but I usually find it a bit cryptic.i also have seen the stickied Homebrew tutorials but they, while very good as far as they go, they naaturally aren't complete and can't be easily updated by others. I imagine with a community like this one, if we had a wiki blessed by DDB, we'd build it out very quickly into a tool that many would find invaluable. Some of us have time and interest to engage in this forum for answers and hunt around slsewhere, but I suspect we're the outliers and the majority give up pretty quickly when they can't figure something out.
Is there already a help wiki or something like it, or some discussion of creating the same? I'm assuming DDB would welcome this kind of crowd sourcing so they can continue to focus on development.
I haven’t seen one, but certainly would be interested in helping out if something like this existed. I can imagine moderating it would be the biggest constraint. While the community here is pretty great, there are always turds derive pleasure from ruining a good time.
The really short answer is that there is hardly any official documentation, as the system is still under development.
Any guides I have posted are based entirely on my experiences as a user of the homebrew system (albeit I have access to the staff team to ask questions).
The homebrew system will be undergoing changes to the UI to considerably improve it and it is my understanding that, once this is done, there should be some official documentation.
Thank you -- this is good to know. Thanks also for the effort you have put into your guides which have been a great help. Regarding a wiki-like idea, I take it that the smart answer, then, is to keep on getting on given that big changes are coming in the not too distant future. That makes sense to me.
