Thinking of making a vengeance paladin who was convinced to take his oath by some kind of malicious patron, and to represent that, I’m thinking of taking the Eldritch Adept feat, but I can’t find a good invocation that fits the vengeance paladin build. Are there any good ones I’m missing, or should I try for a different angle?
Beast Speech, Beguiling Influence, Devil’s Sight, or Eldritch Mind could be useful. Not necessarily sure that any of them are worth spending a feat on, though.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Eldritch Mind jumps out to me -- a big chunk of the Vengeance added spells (hunter's mark, bane, hold person, haste, banishment) are concentration, in addition to all the usual paladin spells that require it
Otherwise, Devil's Sight is useful, even if you aren't going to combo it with darkness. If you end up being the party face, Beguiling Influence could be handy. Fiendish Vigor isn't a terrible idea for a melee character either, and you can always swap it out if you end up with better sources of temp hp in the party

Active characters:
Askatu, hyperfocused vedalken freedom fighter in Wildspace (Zealot barb/Swashbuckler rogue/Battle Master fighter) Green Hill Sunrise, jaded tabaxi mercenary trapped in the Dark Domains (Battle Master fighter) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
The big issue with Eldritch Mind is that it's just a weaker version of War Caster. You might not get much use out of being able to use a cantrip for opportunity attacks as a paladin, but it's still better than taking Eldritch Adept for advantage on Concentration saves.

True. Really the best selling point for Eldritch Adept is the flexibility, since you can swap invocations every level depending on what you think would have the most utility. There isn't a lot that would seem to fit a Vengeance paladin specifically though
