I have player's who are wanting to own business in the campian that I'm running. Does anyone know of rules for generating the monthly income of a posible business or even homebrew rules for it. I'm just not sure what would be a good starting point would even be.
+1 to Acquisitions Incorporated. You don't necessarily need to incorporate all the wacky humorous stuff (unless you like that kind of thing, which I do), but the business-running rules are solid.

Acquisitions Incorporated provides just this! It’s available in either print or as a digital copy here on D&D Beyond.
DMG has some bare bones ideas under Recurring Activities.
Perpetually annoyed that Eldritch Knights can't use Eldritch Blast, Eldritch Smite, and Eldritch Sight.
