If you have purchased the Legendary Bundle (or any other bundle with a lifetime discount) and there are books that have released since you purchased the bundle that you don't own, both discounts would apply. However it's important to note that the discounts are applied sequentially (not added) so you get (Book Price * Sale Discount) * Bundle Discount
This means that your average book should check out at $20.40 instead of $29.99 (normal price), $25.49 (just bundle discount), or $23.99 (just sale discount)
2nd sale in a row pre-orders did not get included, thus nothing to stack with my bundle discount.
IIRC previous years it was usually every other sale included pre-orders. Granted it usually went back and forth between 15% off (pre-orders not included) and 10% off (pre-orders included) and the current sale going on right now is 20%. Losing out on a chance to maximize my Legendary Bundle discount before the book releases feels like a slight, especially after the last few months of telling people to be patient and wait for the next sale.

Ah, so the Dragonlance isn't part of the sale.
I see that Witchlight has the reduction from $29.99 to $20.39, but Dragonlance is only £29.99 down to $25.49.

No, preorders aren't part of this sale. It's a little odd how they go back and forth on that.

I seem to remember pre-orders are only on their 10% sales. Unfortunately there wasn't a 10% sale during the pre-order period for Dragonlance. I think the same thing happened a couple of years ago with something else that came out in Dec. Maybe it was Tasha's that never had a 10% sale to stack discounts during its pre-order period.
It's not been a third off since I started here in Aug '21, so maybe before that. It's not the takeover at any rate. If anything, we've had more - I don't remember a Hallowe'en sale last year.

Halloween last year was 15% off of stahd, MM and Volo's I believe. I know there was a third off last Cyber monday
You're right (I rarely delete email), last year Cyber week sale from 11/29-12/5 was all books at $19.99 excluding pre-orders.

As per title, do those of us who own the ultimate bundle get no black Friday (or other sale) discount on purchases?

If you have an annual subscription that doesn't expire in this small window, you can't leverage the subscription deal either.
I'd happily buy an extra year now to get 20% off.
I would do the same
