I am interested in the idea of making new schools of magic for an upcoming campaign. Is there a way to do this with D&DBeyond? If so how would I go about this?
What I am wanting to do is make a new School not tradition or spell. I want to add to the Abjuration, Conjuration, Evocation ... list. Mainly I am looking to make some spells which are "Profane". While they could fall into other categories I felt they all could benefit from a new classification.

In 5E D&D Abjuration, Conjuration, Evocation and Bladesingers, and Warmage are all subclasses of the Wizard class. So creating a new Subclass and then creating unique spells for said subclass is the only way to go sorry to say.
I am not sure we are speaking of the same thing. For instance when you look at the Identify spell. This is on both the wizard and bard spell lists. It is listed with the being part of the school of divination. Or the can trip Acid Splash, both Sorcerer and Wizard, is Conjuration.
Imagine if someone cast detect magic and then asked what school of magic a spell effect they see is part of. It is not based on the subclass. A Alarm spell looks the same if it is done by an Evoker or a Necromancer.
I am not talking about the subclasses. I am speaking about the classification or grouping of spells.
I am fairly sure that this is not available so it is a moot point.
There is not a way to do this. You will just have to simulate it.
Create some spells with "profane" in the name or as a first line in the description. Those are now your porfane school spells. Very very few of the automatic tools on DDB deal with spell school, so it doesnt really matter.
Yeah, i wanted to do this for psionics and the functionality simply doesn't exist. You've got to pick one of the extant spell schools. Maybe they'll implement it in the future, though!
It would definitely be cool if they added the possibility to add custom magic schools eventually - it would be cool to add things like Matt Mercer’s Dunamancy school of magic, and create our own

You can create a custom subclass of Wizard. You can also create custom spells.

As I said:
