You will probably need 1d20, 1d12, 1d10, up to 5d8, 2d6 or more, and 1d4. Dice sets usually come with 1 of each or with an extra d10 and maybe a few more d6s and spare d20.
Now on that topic remember to just buy 8-10 sets of dice, with atleast 1 being a special set of your choosing. This should cover your bases for this paladin and future dnd indevors

Marvarax andSora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
You need all the dice. You also need to slap anyone who says you have enough dice. There is no such thing as "enough dice." :-)
In all seriousness, I think the minimum is two d20 (for advantage and disadvantage), four or five d6 (lots of things require multiple d6) and one or two of all the others.
For a paladin, you might want two different colours of d8s, so you can say something like "blue d8s are weapon damage, purple d8s are smite radiant damage" and roll damage dice all at once.
A lot of sites allow you to buy single dice, so you don't have to speld the money on multiple sets. For example, Awesomedice, The Dice Shop Online, and G² Collectables and Hobbies (all of which I've bought products from). I really like the gemini red and black from Awesome Dice, particularly the elder sign and spider d10.
I really don't think a lot of dice are needed. At least 1 of each and 3d6s. Since you are a paladin, you will want at least 3d8 for smites.
You can roll the same dice multiple times when you don't have enough. Obviously, having enough for a single roll is preferable, but not required. I recommend multiple d6s and d8s only because you may need to roll a lot and rolling 3 dice 3 times is way better than rolling 1 die 9 times. Plus other people will probably have extra dice for these situations anyway.
I'm new to playing. I'm looking for advice to which dice I need to play as Aasmiar Paladin....5Edition.

On amazon you can likely get a set of about 6 bags of dice (7 dice in each) for around 10 dollars.

Thanks for the advice everyone, really appreciate it!
I agree. You can never have too many dice.
