How do I find games, I do not wish to play as a DM, but I cannot find links to use my characters

 You need to be invited. The best way is if your IRL friends play. Next best is other IRL sources like your local gaming store. Third best is here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups

OK.  I havent played in years..talking decades, I made a character, checked a couple of the sites it recommended   But dont see how to export the character, nor find games or players

Thank you, I am checking Roll20.  Still a bit lost on exporting character from here

 Look into Beyond20. It’s another 3rd party app designed to link DDB with Roll20.

Ok, well I have looked into both of those. Not sure which I like better, but both upon exploring both, I still have to Generate a character there.  SO I guess my question now would be ,what is the point of making one here?  Unless it is to keep track of, update on my own, everything my character does

 If you use Beyond20 it pulls your DDB character sheet and links it to your Roll20.

I have found Warhorn exceptionally useful for finding D&D Adventure League games (i.e. organized play that you can go between groups with the same character).
