I won't say I was worried, but an idea did claw at the back of my head. More than likely based on all the TV and Movie studios making their own digital platforms.

Luckily that didn't happen, but for all the people who dropped a decent chunk of change, it'd have been a bit of a gut punch.
I am not sure how/when dndbeyond recieves the info needed to do the coding on their end, but I would wager a guess that the book isn't quite finished yet, thus making the wait for digital platforms, while Icewind Dale's book was probably done done for a while, since it didn't have a "public beta"

When WotC gives all of the digital distributors the green light to open preorders. Only physical copies are available for preorder at the moment.

Still nothing? I would have expected them to pull the trigger during or directly after the Celebration event
I wonder if WOTC has seen physical book sales slip during the pandemic and is holding off on digital pre-orders to try and boost physical sales.
