All of the updates in the new Tyranny of Dragon's re-release will become available to D&D Beyond users who own Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat!
You know what'd be super awesome? Combining them into one campaign on the website here for all the very same reasons why it's being done for the physical copies.

Agreed, but it might be complicated by people who have already bought the old versions. Not sure, but I could see that as a complicating factor on the back-end.

Not yet - D&D Beyond is based in North America, so it'll likely be sometime in the morning US time.
