is there a way to link subraces together within the character creator? like how you can click/tap Elf and there is a drop down menu? because i have made a race with 3 sub races and am wondering if i could manage to do that in the parent race's settings thing lol if someone could help that would be amazing haha

No, it is not currently possible. The closest you can get is to name them all “Race, Subrace” so they group together alphabetically.

The only invisible character is a space. You could certainly try.
