So I'm about to start running a Strahd Campaign with some friends and am using Tasha's Cauldron as one of the books for it. Through the help of the others in the group who, among us all, have all the books needed, I've been able to homebrew in our Wizard and Monk, using the subclass homebrew as a way to get the Tasha's features on the DnDBeyond Character creator. Unfortunately this is proving rather difficult for ranger as when you select the replacement option for a homebrew subclass feature, it doesn't let you replace Ranger's regular kit.

Any Idea how I can get this to work? Thank you

You cannot. We can only access subclass level features as Homebrew on DDB, not base class level features. The only way to have access to those on DDB is to purchase the entire Tasha’s Cauldron book from DDB. (The optional class features are not available for individual purchase and only available when the entire book is purchased.)

Alright, thank you for the info, I'm just gonna have to have them deal with the worse ranger skills due to not having the finances to get the entire digital copy.

tbh, that should be one of the things DDB works on next, having Tasha's optional features individually purchasable. (Also having stuff like fighting styles and eldritch invocations homebrewable but hey ho)

I have already addressed the topic of having the optional class features available as an individual purchase option with the DDB staff. The politely told me not to hold my breath. (In other words, never gonna happen.) That’s the only reason I broke down and bought it, just to get those.

The rest of that stuff is base class features and we can only access subclass level features for now. Maybe in a year or two they will have implemented Homebrew base classes. 🤷‍♂️
