So, I'm rewriting up a subclass for my own use that I found that was unbalanced but had a cool concept, and I'm trying to create the Oath spells. Dug through the forums and google a bit and from what I've read I think I've done it properly but obviously I haven't.
Was hoping one of the gurus could tell me what I'm doing wrong here. Sposta seems to be everywhere when I look for homebrew stuff, which tbf, if you come in here, I've had you solve a half dozen questions for me indirectly so far so thanks lol.
The issue is the additional spell list works fine. But they're not "always prepared", just known spells, and Oath spells should be always prepared. Armor of Agathys I've added into the spells with "Consumes Spell Slot, Counts As Known Spell, Always Prepared" all set to "Yes".
You don’t want it to say “counts as known spell” because that would mean that the Paladin in question is being forced to use one of their “prepared” slots for that.
You don’t want to attach them as part of a subclass feature at all. In the “Additional Specific Spells” field under Basic Information, simply list those spells there and they will automatically be “always prepared” subclass spells. You don’t want to add them as part of a subclass feature at all, just as part of the subclass.
I had another look at it and NOW I see what you meant on the other post about Additional Specific Spells. I was under the "additional spell list" in the subclass thinking that was the same thing.
Well, the workaround worked jus fine, but now I know the proper way as well, thanks!

(and then there's THIS https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/62362-how-to-add-spells-to-a-class-feature-so-that-they#c4 lolol)
Anyway. So here's my subclass. I've just added the first spell in, would like to see this one work properly then add in the others.

Knew it'd be somethin simple.
