So under homebrew when creating an action I have noticed it won't let me make it ranged, melee or add a DC save type without adding a modifier. Which thus adds to hit and added damage on character sheet, also wont show Range/Area unless you classify it as ranged or melee. If you just add the action on character sheet it won't require a stat and display everything I want it to display, is this as intended or just an issue that hasn't been addressed. Just wondering if it would be easier to make it so the player adds the action or is there something I am missing? 

If you set it as a “general” action (instead of weapon/spell) then it won’t add the modifier to the damage.

True, but my issue is I want Range/Area to show the range and AOE on character sheet if you click on the action. Unfortunately I am having to set attack range which counters that and displays a hit modifier and adds damage modifier to the action on character sheet.

I have a similar issue. I have an action from a homebrew feat, I can't get it to show range even though it's set in the feat.
