So right now I have a follower who just have a statblock based of the Acolyte monster. But, when accessed through "extras" on my character sheet I can not view his spell descriptions nor track spell slots or equipment in any way.
I was wondering if it would be possible to creat a full character sheet for such a follower, without having to adhere to the regular classes like monk/cleric/wizard etc?
I don't see a way to create a homebrew class, only subclasses. And if I try to create a character sheet based on the cleric (closest thing to my follower) it comes with all of the cleric things that my follower doesn't have access to. And I seem to be unable to remove those class features, or replace them with different ones.
Is there any way to do this, other than just to ignore the things that he doesn't have?
We don't currently have feature support for the sidekicks rules, as presented in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. We will be building a proper system to handle sidekicks in a flexible manner.

What you are looking for are the “sidekicks.”
