I am creating a feat that gives the player the ability to cast a spell once per long rest.
However, even though there are columns saying you change the number of minimum and maximum charges it has, when you go to EDIT there are no options for setting the amount of charges in spells associated with feats.
Number of uses is set to 0, but it still gives whoever takes the feat 2 charges.
“Fearlessness is a fool's boast, to my mind. The only men with no fear in them are dead, or the soon to be dead, maybe. Fear teaches you caution, and respect for your enemy, and to avoid sharp edges used in anger. All good things in their place, believe me. Fear can bring you out alive, and that's the very best anyone can hope for from any fight. Every man who's worth a damn feels fear. It's the use you make of it that counts.”
Interesting. I wrote a feat as an add on the Magic Initiate and I don’t remember having that problem. I just set things to be based off of a Long Rest and skipped the charges, but I was only working with a specific spell level.
I was trying to duplicate the 'Dragonmark [Detection]' feat...I think it's from Unearthed Arcana but not sure. It allows the character to cast certain spells, once per long rest, depending on their level. But, it's only 1 charge for each spell. There's a column for 'min charges' and 'max charges', but there's no where to adjust it.
