Hello, name's Edward. I've been making homebrew options for sometime, primarily for my players. I've been slowly adding these options to Dungeon Masters Guild and other locations. This specific class has been recently complete, I spent some more time updating the wording and grammar. However, after all was finished I realized that the one thing I was still not happy with, was the name.
So, I'm putting the class up here in full, and would love some feedback, not just suggestions of the name of the class. I'd love some criticism and feedback about the class, the balance, the flavor, and even some general thoughts. The class is influenced by Taoist monks, using a combination of magical charms & talismans and elemental magics. So I would ask, what name do you feel would fit this class, and sorry as its a little long in its current format.
Currently on the PDF all the places where the name would go have question marks in replacement, just to help keep track. This file is through dropbox, so I won't hold it against you if you feel uncomfortable downloading something off the internet. The PDF also makes reference to homebrewed spells and monsters.
What were your other ideas for names? When reviewing the spell list, Shaman and Elementalist come to mind, but the emphasis on the charms brings in, no pun intended, a different element.
It seems that there isn't a clear definition of what you want from this class. Is the class an elemental caster or a monk tinker? How do these blend together in an organic way?

I had considered Disciple but changed that to a subclass name. Fulu is an option, Taoist monks who use talismans to summon spirits to do certain tasks and stuff, though not wholly accurate to what the class does.
And you're right, there isn't a concise want. Blending the two started much easier, and having tried to split the two parts, the elemental caster and the charms & talismans caster, left two very bare bones thin classes that felt uninspired. I do like the flavor but it does feel very unclear, that much I can admit.
If I had to say what I wanted from the class would someone who channeled natural energies from around them in the world through the use of talismans and charms. Much of it being either for enhancing one's own personal abilities or summoning elements to do their bidding.

Honestly I'm very critical of my self, and was worried putting it up here, but I could use some criticism and some honest opinions.
