Hello, I created a subclass for rogue that blends arcane trickster and the artificer battlesmith subclass. I am trying to homebrew a version of the chaos bolt spell. I have most of it done, but it has to roll the d8's on the chaos magic table to choose damage type and special added effect if both d8's land on the same number.

Here is what I have so far if someone can look at it and give some recommendations:

Sorry, not much of a recommendation, but more of a question: the stat block notation works with snippets on the character sheet?

That’s not a “snippet,” it’s a “rollable.” Those only work on Monster Statblocks in the encounter builder/combat tracker, not anywhere else. It won’t work on the spell or on the character sheet.

Even if it were a snippet, it wouldn’t work on a spell since spell’s don’t have snippet fields.
