I'm trying to make a Paladin subclass  that's a stand in for a full on new class (since we can't make new classes here). As such, I want to be able to replace a lot of the features and I figured that I could do so when making the features by setting them up as 'replace' instead of granted or additional. However, whenever I try and enter the feature it will replace in the 'class feature it will replace' I get nothing. For example, I try putting in spellcasting but it says no matches found. What am I doing wrong? 

You cannot replace base class features with a subclass, only subclass features.

ah, gotcha. well, so much for that idea.
