My character found a circlet which increases the effect of her healing spells by 2d4 hit points. I've been trying to implement this on a homebrew item in the form of a `Bonus: Spell Group - Healing` with a dice count of 2 and die type of d4. To my surprise, the modifier didn't seem to affect my healing outcomes at all. I might be doing it wrong. Is there a way to add this sort of modifier on an item?
So far, I've just been just remembering to roll the two 2d4 in addition from the item's description, but it would be nice if I could automate the effect. I've been considering to add a customized version of each of my character's healing spells that accounts for the effect of the circlet instead, but that feels a bit roundabout.
Hmmm that's odd I don't think you've done anything wrong, maybe save the item twice the blue save button and wait for 5 - 20 mins before using the homebrew item, and maybe you have to attune to the item for it to work? Maybe refer to this link it may help you in your endeavors. (A Homebrewers’ “How-To” FAQ* - Homebrew & House Rules - Dungeons & Dragons Discussion - D&D Beyond Forums - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)). Generally Modifier > Bonus, Subtype > Spell Group - Healing, Dice Count > 2, Dice Type d4. Should work as adding 2d4 to all healing spells, maybe they have change this to note that players should add 2d4 to their healing spells as noted on the sides of healing spells instead? No I think it should also automatically add, if this was not the case before then I must be wrong and it really only does nothing but noting to add 2d4 for healing spells as manual using dice.

Does someone have advice how to best proceed?
That is not something currently supported by DDB’s homebrewer. You will just have to use plain text and remember to roll it and add it manually.

Alright, that's too bad. Thanks Lolths_Bane and IamSposta.
I managed to create at least a customized version of my character's favorite healing spell which automatically adds the circlet's effect.
