I can't for the life of me figure out how to add a 1d6 to a Barbarian's character sheet in dndbeyond. I have a special weapon for this PC that will eventually unlock the ability to add 1d6 cold damage to all weapon hits. I've discovered it's impossible to add a die to a weapon in the homebrew section. I found a clever workaround to make a cantrip/spell that does 1d6 damage but it forces you to choose what classes can use it and Barbarians are never on the list. I even attempted to make a flavored handaxe to allow the roll but Barbarians are proficient in all weapons so it automatically adds a proficiency bonus to the roll. Is there something, ANYTHING I can make to give a Barbarian PC a simple 1d6 roll on the character sheet in dndbeyond? Please help, it's a major backstory plot point for this character and I don't want to have to remember to manually roll 1d6 on every attack.
I tend to just make a custom attack on the character sheet. And put that as the appropriate values as needed for my characters and players.
But yes I’m surprised it’s not as easy just add additional dice to weapons or abilities especially for things longer lived items/feature. Sure if it’s a one-of type of situation just roll separately.
You could attach a “General” Action to that class feature and just designate the die type and dice count, set the Activation Type to “Special,” and designate it to display as an attack. That will put a 1d6 damage roll on the character sheet under the “Other Actions” tab.
