Add this to a spell, and nothing will happen, ever.  It will not add the bonus damage, it will not even try no matter what you do.  Create a warlock spell to gain the added benefits from eldritch blast modifiers in damage or range if you select those evocation, does nothing.  How and why is this been so broke for so long? 

• click USE PRIMARY STAT nothing happens
• add the dice count and Type nothing happens
• Play with duration, nothing happens
• Make a total replica of eldritch blast this will do nothing. 
• beg for it to work in details nothing happens 

Unless I am missing something, this should be fixed or removed because it's absolutely worthless.

 I’m not sure what you mean. If you take those Eldritch Invocations their benefits are automatically applied to Eldritch Blast. There is no need to do any homebrewing.

In addition, those modifiers would not get added to the spell, but to a feat or race/class feature, or even a Magic Item and they will automatically work on Eldritch Blast. And if you homebrew a different spell, they would never work on that because those modifiers only modify the OG Eldritch Blast, not any copies.

Maybe I misunderstood your original post, and if so then please explain it and I will adjust my answer accordingly. If I did not misunderstand, I hope this was helpful.

What is the point of them even being in the homebrew section if they do nothing. They do nothing no bonus damage, not bonus range, nothing.

But it does though. If you add this ring to a Warlock it does exactly what it says using those exact same modifiers.

If you have those two Eldritch Invocations (Agonizing Blast and Eldritch Spear), this item will stack with them. If you don’t have those two invocations, this ring basically replaces them.

Edit: The “Notes” at the bottom of the item description lists both of those modifiers.

 No, as I said in my first reply, they would work on any: Feat, Magic Item, Racial Feature, or Class Feature. Basically, anything that a PC could be, become, or have that would grant them enhanced Eldritch Blast effectiveness.

Those modifiers just don’t go on spells. They do not add those bonuses to other spells, they add those bonuses to the caster themself as a buff for whenever they use that one spell. 

Have now tried creating both a feat and an item with the same settings for increasing Eldritch Blast damage. Item works, feat does not.
