I am attempting to build the College of Mercantile subclass from Griffon's Saddlebag: Book 2. I've got most of it working, but one feature reads: "you can use an action to magically fling a coin from your hand at a target within 60 feet of you. Make a ranged spell attack with the coin, using your Charisma modifier for the attack roll. On a hit, the target takes 1 bludgeoning damage plus 1d12 thunder damage."
I read this to mean that you should add your CHA modifier for the attack roll, but not the damage roll. I can't figure out how to apply the modifier to only the attack roll without also applying it to the damage roll. So that's my first question: How do I do this?
While I'm at it, I may as well ask my second question too. Is there a way to correctly add that one point of bludgeoning damage as bludgeoning damage instead of lumping it in with the thunder damage?

Unfortunately, the answer to both of your questions is that what you want to accomplish is not currently possible in the system.
