Hopefully I explain this right. I'm creating a custom race. This race can detect magical and psychic creatures. Part of this allows them to track a specific caster by their magical "scent." I've created an ability and action that shows up. But I want it to also have a proficiency check under charisma. With proficiency bonuses. Is there a way to have this show up similar to how the Sneak Attack D6 shows up? So far I'm coming up with nothing to do this step. Thanks.
I'm guessing this would be a "rollable." But not sure this is able to be done.
It won’t put a check “under charisma,” but it will put a rollable under the Action. What you would do is make it a “general” Action, designate Cha as the Ability Score, and check the “Is Proficient” and “Display as Attack” checkboxes. That will put a rollable that uses Cha + PB attached to the Action just like how Sneak Attack dice get displayed.

I've done all that. Also have the Die count to 1 and the die type as D20. It shows like Sneak Attack. But it is also just a damage roll of D20. Not a rollable with Cha + PB.
Clear the die count and die type fields, you don’t need those. Try switching it to a “spell” action. You’re looking for it to work as an attack roll, so it’ll display as +X instead of as a die.
Ok. So the trick was to add range to both the attack range and the spell range type. With it being a "spell." This with display as attack. Makes it show up with PB + CHA bonus. So it is a pseudo prof check. Even though it says "attack" on the result. But ultimately it does what I want. Thanks for assisting.
